THE SERPENTINE BELT OF OPHIUCHUS

New Celestial Alignment at Giza Pyramids

Discovered by Robert James Comber Author of The Lost Octave 04/05/2026

For thirty years, the three pyramids of Giza have been linked to the stars of Orion’s Belt. In 2006, Andrew Collins and engineer Rodney Hale proposed a second correlation, the wing stars of Cygnus. Both theories agree on one thing: the layout of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure on the Giza plateau is not accidental. It mirrors the sky.

A new discovery, made by Robert James Comber, author of The Lost Octave and founder of True Constellational Astrology adds a third correlation, and with it the dimension of the Divine Feminine Sophia.

The Discovery

Three bright naked-eye stars on the southern body of Ophiuchus : δ Ophiuchi (Yed Prior), ζ Ophiuchi (Han), and η Ophiuchi (Sabik), magnitudes 2.73, 2.56, and 2.43. They form a gentle three-point arc across the sky. Comber has named them the ‘ Serpentine Belt ‘ the Feminine Serpentine Belt counterpart Ida, to the Masculine Stellar Belt of Orion, Pingala. Where Cygnus is the Saraswati River and Nile River of the Central Channel in the Human Chakra System. These two belts are the double helix of DNA and the two serpents entwined around the Caduceus Staff of Hermes, Thoth.

When the geometry of this belt is measured and compared to the geometry of the three Giza pyramid apexes, the proportions match closely within the same order of accuracy as the Orion and Cygnus correlations. The deeper finding came from a precession calculation of True Constellational Astrology :

A 6200 BC Alignment over the Giza Plateau.

Precession of the Equinox is the slow wobble of Earth’s axis over approximately 25,920 years, gradually rotating every constellation through different orientations relative to the local horizon. The shape of the Serpentine Belt triangle is fixed permanently in three-dimensional space yet what changes over millennia is the angle at which that triangle descends toward the horizon at any given latitude.

Comber ran a computational sweep across every year from 15,000 BC to 5000 AD and every position of the Ophiuchus belt in the Giza sky. The question was simple, at what moment does the belt descend toward the western horizon along the same bearing as the Khufu–Menkaure pyramid diagonal?

The pyramid diagonal bearing is 217.00°.

The sweep returned one answer: circa 6200 BC, when the three Serpentine Belt stars at altitudes of 12°, 6°, and 3° descended together in the west-south-west sky and projected onto the ground at a bearing of 217.01°.

The difference between the stellar projection and the pyramid diagonal: 0.01°, one hundredth of a degree. Essentially exact !

This is not the result of choosing a convenient date. It is the result of an exhaustive search. No target was assumed. The sweep simply returned 6200 BC as the unique best match in the entire 20,000-year window.

Why It Matters

6200 BC falls within the era of Nabta Playa, the oldest known astronomical site in Africa, located in the Egyptian Western Desert, where Neolithic peoples were recording stellar alignments as early as 7500 BC. The Serpentine Belt alignment at 6200 BC sits squarely within this documented tradition of sophisticated pre-dynastic Egyptian astronomy.

It precedes pyramid construction by 3,650 years, consistent with the idea, already present in Bauval’s and Collins’s work, that the Giza pyramid layout was inherited from an astronomical template observed and transmitted across deep prehistory before being executed in stone.

It completes the picture of Union in the Stars. The Orion correlation gives us the Divine Masculine, stellar, heroic archetype as Osiris in Egyptian cosmology, the missing 14th Zodiac Sign. Cygnus gives us the axial resurrection principle, the Northern Cross. What has been missing until now is the Divine Feminine that is now aligned to the Galactic Centre. The Serpentine Belt of Ophiuchus provides it !

Sophia, Isis, and the Serpent

The name Sophia, the divine feminine wisdom of Greek and Gnostic tradition contains within it the Greek word ophis, meaning serpent. S-ophis-a. Ophiuchus is ophis-ekhōn: the one who holds the serpent. The connection is not metaphorical. It is etymological.

In Egyptian mythology, Isis is the cosmic healer and the great assembler. When Osiris-Orion was dismembered by Set, it was Isis who searches the world, recovers the 13 scattered pieces, and through her own divine power resurrects him fashioning his missing 1/14th part to resurrect him.

In Comber’s True Constellational Astrology framework, a fourteen-sign zodiac built on IAU constellation boundaries completes this prophecy. Where Ophiuchus-Isis-Sophia is the thirteenth Zodiac sign and Orion-Osiris is the fourteenth.

The Winter Solstice axis now aligns with the Galactic Centre under the foot of Sophia as the Golden Gate of the Milky Way, and Orion’s Right Hand of God is aligned to the Summer Solstice Silver Gate of Humanity.

Through Robert James Comber’s True Constellational Astrology he proves that our present precessional cycle is ‘ Age of Cygnus ‘ that stands across the axis as the resurrection cross, the celestial marker of the age of return.

Three constellations, Three correlations, Three archetypes, One plateau, One Cosmology.

A Note on Method

Comber’s finding of the Serpentine Belt’s is a geometric correspondence that is real and verified at a 6200 BC precessional shift. A discovery that places the constellation in exact alignment with the pyramid bearing at a historically meaningful epoch.

The Missing Feminine

The Pyramids of Giza have been read, for three decades, as a masculine statement, Osiris in stone, the stellar king, the eternal hero frozen at his lowest point in the sky. Bauval saw the belt of Orion. Collins saw the wing of the swan. Both are real and now we find the union of completion. The Serpentine Belt of Ophiuchus! The Divine Feminine wisdom that holds the serpent of cyclical time. It is Isis assembling the pieces. It is Sophia birthing the New Cosmic Human as the Mother of Dragons through the Galactic Centre.
